High idle...can anyone help???
i just had these mods on my car, p&p MAF and t/b, ls6 intake, long tubes and o/r y pipe, and catback. it made a huge difference but now my car is idling really high and i have to ride my brakes a lot around town just to stay in the speed limit cause my idle. when my car is in drive and im on the brake it idles at 1k, but in park or neutral its like 1500. can anybody help?
Drive around. Get at least 100 miles, preferably about 200 miles on it so the PCM can relearn everything. With the MAF porting and the LS6 intake, I hope you forgot to mention your tune, because you could definitely use one.
There is also a manual adjustment screw on the throttle, but you need to zero the throttle position after adjustment. You set the adjustment. Then unplug the throttle postion sensor and turn the key to on for a short period-don't start the motor. Then off and reinstall the TPS sensor wiring. Turn it back to on and then off.

ok those are all good posibilities, the guy who did it all said the same thing about the computer having to relearn everything and to give it some time. if it dont ill check the blade on the throttle body and try the adjusting screw. but i didnt have it tuned, i heard that wouldnt make much of a difference unless i have a cam.
I just did my own porting of the TB and found that I needed to change out the IAC valve. Its a $100. It's still learning itself as it still idles high at times on starts. Another thing make sure all screws are on well and snug. That seems to be a hugh factor.
Is your SES light on? if you dont have a code reader, go to autozone or advance auto, they scan for free. in the meantime, if you didnt have your stock tb ported, put your stock TB back on and see if that corrects your problem.
