Anyhow, I have done a few and today I went to the dyno and put my buddies stock tb on and made 2 runs which were the same, then I pulled the stocker off and put on my ported one, it gained between 6-7rwhp, and between 5-6rwtq. Here's a cell phone pic I took when I ported it back in 05.

Nice gains!

The main idea is to get rid of that "ridge" that is inside the TB. That's what causes the most disturbance in airflow. It's not really porting in the respect that it's opened up to a larger size. Also, grinding down the screws that hold the blade in and knife edging the blade will also increase airflow and throttle response.

Yeah voltage is checked on the bench,,you just need power to measure,,,,im pretty conservative with it so no codes. I could probably go further with it, but i get close enough without cutting anything close, and everyones cables are different,,most need to be adjusted to get the full potential out of a bump stop mod. hence,,i like to leave some room.

The shaft mod is the front of the TB blade shaft is removed, then the screws that now stick out futrther in the back are trimmed off, rounded to match the back of the shaft, and locked in with locktite when they are screwed in. I also lube the whole thing up pretty good when completed for easy, smooth action.

Here is a pic of the Bump Stop Mod...

We do them for $75 right now. No core need, same day trun around on porting your TB,
And are a sponcer on here

I noticed a good SOTP with mine, and I was at 328whp when I ported the TB, and a SLP lid a few months ago. Stock down to the paper filter. I went 12.95 @110 and just that, no free mods stock wheels.

Mike also posted a before/after on a car while strapped down on our dyno. It was a mild bolt-on car it was somthing like 9whp peak. I have it bookmarked on a differnt computer, Ill look right now.
