Are you mentally retarded? Get the Vette. You'll be in COLLEGE! Do you know the kind of poon that will bring in for you? You'd have to be a RETARD to get an F-body in college when a Corvette is an option. Where do you live? Because we should all kick you in your unused nuts if you go the F-body direction instead of the *****-getter!

I'm not retarded, what I am is the kind of guy that will flip out if someone hits my corvette. Economically it isn't the best option. The insurance is higher, the maintance costs are higher, etc. If I get a ding in a camaro I might cuss a bit, but if I had a vette that got beat up I would freak.

I guess we differ on that... Even if the car is a PoS it's MY PoS. I would park a vette just as far as my TA.

Maintenance isn't much higher. If you can work on an Fbody you can work on a Vette.
As for the ding, if someone dings your CORVETTE on the college campus, go pick up another airhead and crush her *****. You'll feel better.

(I am not sure which headers to choose yet, but they will be catted)

-Magnaflow Cat-Back
-Volant CAI
-Headers w/ cats
-SLP/AFR Heads and Cam Package (525 crank)
-FAST LSx Manifold w/ 78mm Throttle Body

Thanks for you time
Three zillion hp. (ask a silly question...)

Well, I got some good news and some bad news.

Good- I got into the college I wanted
Bad- I didn't get the scholarship I was hoping for

I did get a scholarship worth $9500 a year, which would bring the total to about $10,000 a year if I live at home (about a 30-45 minute drive). Of course that means that I won't be able to get a C5 Vette or even a 4th Gen F-Body. However, I may be able to get a C4Corvette (84-96). What do you guys think about that? I know it doesn't look the best or perform the best but I would save up the money to upgrade it later.

Why can't you get a 4th gen F-body for that? I've got a buddy with a forged, h/c, 4L80e w/Yank converter 4th gen for sale, and the price is under that.

well if I got a 4th gen I really wanted it to have lower miles and stock so that I could mod it the way I wanted, but I guess I little digging could be beneficial

I would ask if you're a woman, but even a woman isn't so picky about a danged old junky F-body.
