I just installed my XS headers from SSautochrome (same as the original XS on here) and they fit amazing, look good, and sound awesome! I had absolutely no fitment issues at all. I didnt have to grind a tab off, or do anything weird. I just had to unbolt the coil packs and they all slid in easy as pie! Ground clearance is NOT an issue, these tuck up nice and tight.

EDIT - Took a total of about 6.5 hours to do start to finish...And a lot of that time was getting the OLD exhaust out.

I'm VERY interested in seeing the newly designed headers and can't wait to hear some opinions about them once they are released.

I think a sponsor selling a new or redesigned product here reeally has to put their best foot forward. I don't know about everyone else, but to me the opinions of others are among the most important things when I'm buying a product from a sponsor on Tech. So for a sponsor to sell a new or redesigned product on tech, I feel they must be putting quite a bit of effort into it. The difference here is black2002ws6 is putting his name on these, and making himself available to answer questions and deal with problems. On the other hand, the people selling the headers on ebay (from what I've read, I have no personal experience with them) were slow to answer questions and deal with problems.

So for what its worth, I give props to black2002ws6 and am waiting for reviews of the newly designed header with the modified driver's side collector before i pass any judgement. It takes ***** to make a first step at being a sponsor on LS1Tech simply because if the product is bad, it will be made known VERY quickly and no one else will buy it. So far the reviews I have seen from people with the original header (like Matt D, Tainted and Pntbll309) have been nothing but positive, so with some improvements I can't see the new product being anything but good. It has to be taken for what it is, not where it came from, a stainless header at a good price. Beyond the good price is someone willing to help with problems and not disappear after he has the money in his hands which to me counts for a lot.

I have 1 question. Which stainless is better. T304 or T327? QTP's and Kooks are 304, but these claim to be better and are T327.

Just wondering which one is better

We use 321 not 327. Here's some information on the two 304 and 321.

Grades 321 and 347 are the basic austenitic 18/8 steel (Grade 304) stabilised by Titanium (321) or Niobium (347) additions. These grades are used because they are not sensitive to intergranular corrosion after heating within the carbide precipitation range of 425-850°C. Grade 321 is the grade of choice for applications in the temperature range of up to about 900°C, combining high strength, resistance to scaling and phase stability with resistance to subsequent aqueous corrosion.

Grade 304 is more readily available in most product forms, and so is generally used in preference to 321 if the requirement is simply for resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding. However 304 has lower hot strength than 321 and so is not the best choice if the requirement is resistance to an operating environment over about 500°C.

Both 321 and 347 are top choices for exhaust headers, especially turbocharger systems and rotary engines.

304 is the most inexpensive and available stainless in the 300 series. It is suitable for normally-aspirated header applications. It does not have the high temperature fatigue resistance that 321 does, but is considerably less costly and much more available.

Typical applications of 321 include:

Aircraft exhaust manifolds
Expansion joints
Bellows
Furnace parts
Heating element tubing
Heat Exchangers
Woven or welded screens for high temperature mineral processing
Spiral Welded tube for burner pipes and flues

Typical applications of 304 include:

Food processing equipment, particularly in beer brewing, milk processing & wine making.
Kitchen benches, sinks, troughs, equipment and appliances
Architectural panelling, railings & trim
Chemical containers, including for transport
Heat Exchangers
Woven or welded screens for mining, quarrying & water filtration
Threaded fasteners
Springs
Sinks, hollow-ware and saucepans

I run open cutout with my LT's. Sound amazing at WOT. I get some rasp in the midrange RPM's but nothing bad. I really enjoy the sound.

Just installed my headers last night. The visual quality, welds etc are excellent. I had to mod the drivers side header slightly... the holes very front and very rear were about a
16th off. I drilled them out witha carbide bit and they worked perfect. The clearance on drivers side as well as passenger appear perfect. I'll fire her up in a couple days and she has no leaks at the flanges... they are the best bang for the buck header out there. At this point I highly recommend these headers to anyone either on a budget or someone who wants the best for the least. A quality product, awesome price.. customer support 2nd to none.

So do any of these XS, LPP, SSAutochrome, etc still come with emissions fittings or a catted Y-pipe???

I would be interested in the true duals when they are ready. I have the headers and they were somewhat of a pain to install but once they were in they look great. I read that the design was reworked a little? To increase the distance from the floor pan a little more. If so that sounds great. Sucks that someone was making crappy replicas of your product. I would recommend these to anyone looking for stainless headers!

Headers look good. I am going to get them but I am waiting on the Catted Y, you know GMMG and non-catted Y's don't work well together.
What happened to the LPP site? Is it down?
