Default HELP! in the middle of ps pump change

Hey guys im in the middle of changing out my power steering pump. Im following a haynes manual i have and ive drained the coolant, took off the belt, and removed the lid and intake assembly, but now it says i need to take the power steering pump pulley off. how do i do this? it seems like it would be impossible because of the hoses to the radiator and the radiator itself. do i really need to take that all out?

When i changed my ps pump i didn't any coolaint or anything. I just took the three bolts out that hold it on. I didn't take the pulley off until i had the pump off the car. I had to use ratchet wrenches plus i had to remove one bolt from undernieth the car because everythings so tight around the pump.

you don't need to remove the radiator to use the power steering pulley remover, there is enough room....

I've never heard of having to remove the radiator to use the tool.

look at ls1howto.com website, under cam swap. It shows pictures of where the bolts are to remove the pump without taking off the pulley. There is 3 of them, just use an open end wrench.

The only way that I am aware of is removing the waterpump. I am right in the middle of my head swap and had to remove the water pump to get a clear shot at the bottom PS pump bolt.

Autozone PS pulley puller. Tighten and then tap the pulley with a rubber mallet. You will hear a pop, then the tool will be loose. Tighten again ane repeat with rubber mallet. It takes a while, but is possible. Don't tap the top of the pulley where the belt goes, but on the face of the pulley. Just changed mine last week, piece of cake!
