Re: Can header and Off Rd Y cause my car to ping (run lean) Is it hitting the floor board? If so then your getting knock, as for pinging I have no idea. Did you check the easy stuff, like plug wires and the clip to plug up the coil packs? What about the wire to the coil pack itself?

Re: Can header and Off Rd Y cause my car to ping (run lean) I ran real lean after headers and Y, around 14 to 1 accordign the the dyno wideband. so I would say yes, that could happen.
