It's bad enough you spew your bullshit into every header thread on the board, but now it seems as if you do it in every post you type. First off, the cars don't click anything off. The gas pumps have an automatic shut off.
What's the difference, pumpkin? The gas clicks off at relatively the same spot. You're trying to give me your miles per tank when the tank still has a few gallons of gas left in it.
Are you retarded? That's a serious question. I'm tired of being nice and calm to you. Are you so ******* stupid, you don't understand division? Hmm?

Do you understand division? Or do you need to go back to third grade?

Then how are you going to get the MILES PER TANK if you don't use the ACTUAL TANK CAPACITY, Einstein? Answer me that.

Holy ****. He asked for MILES PER TANK. By doing that, you calculate the mpg and multiply it by the tank's volume. That's miles per tank. Not whatever random *** spot you fill up on that changes every time you fill up your car.

And how is that? How do you know how much gas is left in your tank when the fuel light comes on? People have reported never even seeing the fuel light come on. It's not going to come on in the exact same position in every car. These gauges are crap. They don't work correctly.

Wow. You don't understand division and you don't know that running your tank low causes your fuel filter to clog because it sucks up sediment? You don't know that the gas in your tank acts as a cooling agent for the fuel pump and running the gas low causes the fuel pump to run hotter and burn up faster?

The fuel tank is V-shaped. The fuel pump gets cooled less and less efficiently as you run your tank down after a certain point. Why do you think F-body's have a higher than normal fuel pump failure rate? Why do you think the fuel gauges don't work correctly?
You have to be the most hard-headed individual I've ever seen on LS1tech. You have no idea what you're talking about. You don't even know third grade arithmetic, yet you STILL decide to carry on this argument. How many people have come in here saying your method is pure BS? Have you even READ the responses? Or is it safe to assume since you don't know how to divide or multiply, you can't read, either? Is that a safe assumption?
Want your miles per tank? Calculate it like a big boy.
In the real world, we determine miles per tank based on how many miles you have driven from the time you last filled your tank up to the time you were required to refill the tank again. You can't seem to grasp this concept, so I will leave you to continue spreading your misinformation.
What wheel/tire combo you running? I just went from stock 16x8's with 245's to 17x9.5's with 275's and lost 60-70 miles a tank! (320-330 to 250-260 about 13 gals.) They are much heavier and have more rotational resistance. I weighed a wheel when I bought it and it was 24lbs. alone. Don't know stock weight but I would be shocked if it's over 20lbs. Wider 275's gotta be heavier too even though it's a lower profile. If I had known this I might have saved for GM magnesium ZR1 wheels at 18lbs. instead of these cast aluminum replicas. I know somebody is gonna tell me I have something else wrong but my mileage dropped the day that W/T combo went on.
Well when my car was bone stock i got about 270-280 on a completely full tank. Now i get like 240-260 with my mods. I dont care though cause my car kicks *** and is f*ckin sexy! like everybody elses on this site......i love GM i love SS WS6 Fbody Vettes......They are such beautiful cars.....i think i am in love!
Well guys, I consistently get 215-230 miles to a tank of 91 octane gas (permitted I put in 15 gallons) with 99% CITY driving.. Just slightly over 15mpg.. I will probably try the gas seafoam the next time I fill up, just to see if it helps any..
i am running 210 miles to a tank as an in town car 15 miles round trip to work no highway.
i have a auto with 2.73 gear now if i go highway i will get closer to 24 mpg
Post like these are some of the stupidest things i see on the internet. So you my friend are stupid for posting it and if you ever have a kid or anyother family with mental problems you will understand where i'm coming from.
I took a trip from FL to NJ and no stop in 6th gear on I-95, i got 512 miles to the tank. i only did it out of stupidity though. at 450ish miles i started to look for a gas station and all I saw coming up were gas station companies that i never heard of and wouldn't go to b/c i didn't want to chance the quality of the gas since being a full bolt-on w/ tune, I wasn't chancing it. Finally I saw a BP station and filled up.
Everyones driving habits vary dramatically...
I know that my TA gets ~225 on city, +300 on highway. Personally, if you are getting 210 on city, I'd say that there is nothing seriously worng with your car. If you are all highway miles and getting 210, you most certainly have a problem.
Read some posts about gas mileage but nothing seemed to fit. I drive my car daily and drive to work about 12-15 miles most on the highway couple miles city. So an average day maybe 40 miles. ...
Something which has been overlooked is the short distance you are driving. It takes several miles for your car's engine to warm up, so a fair percentage (guesstimating 25 - 50%) of your trip is with an engine not warmed to full operating temperature. This will cause any vehicle to use more gas than if 90+ percent of the trip was made on a fully warmed engine. Try taking a long highway drive (100+ miles) sometime using whatever fuel economy measuring method you are confident with (trying to stay out of the ) and I'm guessing you will see a significant improvement.
