Default Help installing summit cutout....

ok me and my friend tried to tackle the job of installing my cutout and we basically got the piece of exhause off and tomarrow we are going to finish the install. my question is, i bought a 3 in summit cutout, will that just slide right over my stock exhaust? i plan on just clamping it for now and getting it welded in a week or so when i have time. will the clamps be fine for a week before i get it welded?

thanks

maybe. but if your running a catback with the 2.75 od end that connect to the y-pipe a 3'' cutout will be too big. we ran into that problem on my buddies WS6

that's the I pipe

If the exhaust he has there is 3" OD and your cutout is 3" ID then it should slip fit fine.. otherwise you're gonna need to weld it up there.

If your gonna weld anyway, just cut off the catback. I never capped my cutout with the stock exhaust. sounded too good
