Did you cut it with the motor in the car? It looks impossible... Damn LS1s.

You can still keep the heater and take the outer half of the box off.

BMR sells one for like $70-80. I would just buy that one. Making your own sounds like a pain in the ***, and i hate FAB work.

can somebody explain why you need an ac delete pulley? i read in some other threads that it was required but i don't see why since only the ac is run by that belt.

Nice quote in your sig.. lol

I dont know what they are referring to.. Usually when people do this they just take the whole compressor off and yea, its has its on belt/inside pulley.

Yeah with the LS1 you only need a smaller belt if you go with a under drive pulley

I have a problem,

I have removed the AC part of the box from under the hood, and put on a BMR HVAC plate. The vents all switch fine but when i go from heat to cool (vent) I always seem to get heat??? I watched the cable drive move the door from under dash and it seems to work.
Is there anything else I should look for??? or is this the way it is with the mod.

Thanks

that's weird, and you sure it worked before? Taking the AC crap out shouldn't keep you from getting normal outside temp air when turned to the blue, cold side.

i think it has nothing to do with what you did... Maybe the thermostat switch took a dump on ya. See how much a new is and try it, if its not it just take it back.
