Question 6.0 Flex plate touching the block

I am sure this question has been asked before but I cant seem to find a defintive answer.I have a iron 6.0 block with an eagle 408 kit. When I put the flex plate on it is touching the block.I am using the factory truck flex plate I assume it is different than the one for a camaro. Any help would be appreciated.

Cool need a different flexplate

I have a 6.0L iron truck block that i used the stock crank with. I thought i needed the dished camaro flex plate. I'm using a 4L65e. turns out the truck crank shaft sticks out of the block more that 5.7L ls1 crank. i'm pretty sure the aftermarket cranks are like the 5.7L cranks. I had problems with the flex plate sticking out too far and bottoming out the converter. after research found that the cranks are different from 6.0L to 5.7L. you probably need a spacer or the dished flexplate. I actually have a brand new cat brand sfi flex plate , dished, that i thought i needed. turns out with the stock crank, i need the flat 4l80e flex plate. I had to modify the mounting holes to work with the 4l65e converter. I'll sell this flex plate if you want it. $50
ask around and see if your gonna need the spacer and dished flex plate. you might, although i'm not sure about that. let me know

I appreciate the info I just ordered a TCI flexplate. I hope that fixes my problem.

Some trucks require a spacer and some don't. There is a bulletin on engine replacements in trucks to....
install a spacer between the crankshaft and flexplate with 6 new bolts. The part number of the spacer is 12563532 and part number of the flexplate to crankshaft bolts is 12563533.

Hope this helps.

There are two flexplates, dished (stock F body) and straight (6.0 with spacer)
Sounds like you needed to add the spacer...
