Default Is It Worth It?

Is it worth it to port the stock tb, remove the bump stop, and do the epoxy mod? I have the following mods and I'm wondering if it would be any noticable difference or any difference at all....

2001 WS6

SLP LM1
SLP LT's w/ cat'd Y
SLP CAI w/ lid
ASP Pulley

I also have a few other mods that don't have to do with the motor, I'm just wondering if I will gain anything from the tb modification....

Yes its definitely worth it. Many people have gained 7-10 hp from porting the stock tb, and with this mod being free that makes it even more worth while. Go for it bro!

The little bit of added throttle response, plus the 5-10 Hp increase is worth it in my opinion. Especially if you do it yourself, hard to beat that for the price.

No slight against you, but i've seen people complain that the search function is useless. i beg to differ. just play with the words.. i typed in "port own TB" and through a link in one of the threads, i found that post. im sure it's stickied somewhere as well.

its def worth it to get your stock tb ported or to port yourself, and to do the bump stop mod, i would stay away from the epoxy mod though as stated above.

Everything sounds good, except that epoxy thing. Try a search for that picture with the epoxy in the engine....

Just recently ported my TB (didn't use expoxy) and have no complaints. The seat of the pants meter is a noticable difference and the throttle response has improved also. Awesome mod for the money!!!

Another vote for porting the stock TB and the bump stop mod. I paid Vengeance to take care of mine while it was doing some other work on the car and feel like it was well worth what I paid for it!
