Backfire or popped? A backfire is when the charge comes backwards through the intake and throttle body. If its in the tailpipe its a pop like unspent fuel. Did it pop any more after it warmed up?

hmmm.... check your oil real quick and see if it's discolored, or has any water in it, or anything out of the ordinary... if it looks ok your probably fine... how many miles you got on your car?

^ +1, plug wires and plugs. Check odd things like the crank sensor.

If you just started and the engine was cold don't worry about it. My LT1 used to pop really loud when the engine was cold and I got on it a bit.

the backfire, if a little moisture gets in the pack it will pop. I would'nt worry 2 much about it as long as it don't do it again.
