ok i listened to the clip...

The power stick got rid of i would say 95% of the rasp. The rasp was present for about 2 seconds then gone

Now as far as the sound goes. Was video clip #1 and video clip #2 both shot with the same camera? Video clip #2 sounded a little quieter with the power stick. Just wondering. SOudns good

No, they were shot with different cameras. Vid #1 was shot with a canon elph, and vid #2 was shot with my new casio exilim. This was the first vid that was taken with it so I didn't know how it would turn out. I actually got my muffler from stainless works so it isn't a "power stick" but it's pretty much the same thing. When I say against the grain, I am talking about the baffling inside the muffler. Against the grain is quieter than with the grain if that makes any sense.

With the grain:

To me, it honestly sounds alot like the catted y. Not sure which one flows better or anything, I just made the mistake of not getting a catted y in the first place.

I don't know if the design is the same for the gmmg and the one you got. Gmmg will sell an extra muffler separate to weld in the I pipe.

I know you used different cameras but I think the first video sounded better.

Yes, the angle in the against the grain pic would be where the air flows into the muffler.

Default Rasp, Rasp, Rasp....

Can someone explain what everyone is talking about when they say RASP? I have stock exhaust right now and don't want a bad sounding exhaust when I upgrade. I listened to both sound clips and all i hear is the second being quieter. What is RASP?

Most cars get it somwhere between 2000-2500 rpms. It sounds like a damn jackhammer from inside the car.

It's a 30 incher. That was the only length I saw when I was ordering it. I ended up cutting that little part off the y-pipe that is necked down so all I had was the 3" part. Then I just cut two small slits in the front end of the muffler and put a clamp around it and the back side was just trial and error to make it fit good. Measure twice, cut once. The i-pipe that comes with the catback slips right inside the muffler like that's what it was meant to do. After I got the back piece with the elbow to fit right, I just welded it in, put it all back together and took it for a ride.

When I asked Gmmg they said they would custom make another Gmmg chambered muffler to weld in the I pipe at whatever size needed. I don't know what they look at from the inside though.

I wish I would have known that! I wonder what they will charge for them.
