The only issue i have personally experienced is warped valves. Hot valves that met a rush of cold air from running open headers but take into consideration this was in 5 * weather. Have fun............

If you get pulled over, make sure your en route to an exhaust shop... I have been pulled over in 3 different vehicles with open headers, all on my way to a shop, and as soon as the cop heard I was going in he just let me go... Some even complemented the cars..... Have fun... Make sure you rap it at all the rice burners with the big mufflers...

The other plus on top of it is that no one will want to be within about 10 car lengths of you. If you see someone driving like a moron, just pull up next to them and rev the motor It is a blast and loud as hell. Done it quite a few times just for the hell of it.

ive never heard of burning valves off open headers, if that was true why do most people run open headers at the track?
i think ive heard of on very very very rare occaisions warping a valve, but i dont think you will drive it in a blizzard or really cold weather =)

id have to agree with most of the people here, you will be fine, I rap open headers for about a year or so and my **** was fine, Ive done it on a few vehicles just for short periods of time since its entertaining, but I prefer a good sounding exhaust instead of open

Well I drove mine to my shop and finished up the pipe to connect from the collectors back to the stock H-pipe(minus cats). I think I'm still partially deaf!
