Thanks guys! I will definitely post up a video once we get it all tuned.

The new cam is in & the timing chain is on however, the parts dept gave me an LS2 damper instead of an LS1 & I'm still waiting on the retainers from Comp (they were supposed to be delivered yesterday) so basically I'm on hold now until Monday. No big deal though since the roads around here are all still covered in salt.

It's an SLP cold air kit. I bought it years ago, so I'm not sure if they're still making them or not.

Well I actually finished it up a few weeks ago, but just haven't had time to get the video & pics downloaded. I wish I would have taken more pics as we were going back together with it, but I couldn't wait to get it done!!

Here's my pile of parts in the corner.....you can't tell I'm o.c.d. can you?

Here's a few pics after we put the springs in...

And finally here is the video of the initial start-up. It came out a little dark because it was late evening by the time we finished up double checking everything & getting the base-line tune downloaded.
I know I look like a damn 3 year old on Christmas morning, but that's kinda how I felt to finally hear it run.

Nothing beats starting it up after all that work! My camera didn't move once either when I was doing the install because I was too damn excited to finish.

Yea you are a little OCD At least you wont lose parts though.

As you can see in the video, it brought the neighbors out to see what was going on. Lucky for me, they all like my car & aren't bothered by the noise.

Thanks jackass! I do think it's cool! Actually the car was plenty warmed up when we put the baseline tune in. I guess there's an EXPERT in every thread huh?

It ain't any different then breaking in a cam on an old version V8. A Few revs never hurt anything.
