Heh, so anyone want to buy that driveshaft loop I can't use anymore? It's red, so you know it's fast!

I was a little paranoid about driveing w/out it to. I don't see a problem if you don't have it. It is so crappy in the first place I don't think it does much good. Plus, I got a tunnel mount torque arm which solves the problem of not haveing that tunnel brace. Plus I read a bunch of stories of having the torque arm cracking the trany tail housing, I just went with the tunnel one.

I just removed mine yesterday because of my TSP true dual setup. But ive been in the automotive repair industry for a long time and I took one second looking at it and removed it without a second thought at all. It is not needed and will not ruin to structural integrity of the car at all. Just take that POS off and get your exhaust installed. PERIOD.

If you want it and you can't clear the exhaust, put some spacers in there with longer bolts. I did that when I had a V6 and I changed the exhaust and I'm going to do it on the WS6 once it gets warm enough for me to put the true duals on it. If there wasn't a purpose for it, it wouldn't be on the car. Who knows whether that purpose is stupid or justified in this case, but when it's easy to keep, I don't see a point in chucking it unless you have no ground clearance with it with spacers installed.

I really don't think it does much. You can actually twist it by hand, it's that flimsy.

Is that UMI unit you are using?

I took mine off 2 years ago, no difference whatsoever.

If you are concerned, I'm local to you and I have this tunnel brace from BMR, but its in red and scraped up some:

It gives a few more inches of clearance for the exhaust, but also limits your ground clearance.

DONT REMOVE IT YOU WILL THROW A CODE!!! LOL j/k ...If you need to remove it to tuck in your exhaust a little closer for better clearance or what not it will be fine. I removed mine.... However make sure you have plenty of braces to keep everything nice and tight. Other than that you'll be just fine without it.
