Default I need pictures of y-pipes

Looking for pictures of Stock y-pipes. Need to compare the 98-99 one to the 00-02 one, My problem is that i am in the middle of doing a exhaust swap on my trans am, i have 00 manifolds and a 98-99 y-pipe and cats, looking to find out if the 98-99 Y-pipe will bolt up to the 00 manifolds. Any pictures or Comments would be helpful.

unfortunately no, it will not bolt up, the 98-99 has a cat under the hump, and the 00-02 are at the manifolds. so the passenger side of the Y pipe goes all the way up to the manifold, where the 00-02Y would just go to the cats.

Damn, I didn't realize how good the merge is on the ypipe compared to some of the aftermarket ypipes out there.

Why can't the header manufacturers do the same thing but expand the size up to 3"? Even keep it ovaled, just not as drastic and you'd have a product that you couldn't keep on the shelves.

It looks good but then of course they could not do perfect as you can see on the driver side of the merge.

The flat spot isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Look at a nascar exhaust, it's oval'd tubing as well. As long as it's big enough to flow the desired amount, it doesn't hurt horsepower.
