Default switching from 13/4-17/8 headers pwr gains?

thinking about picking up a set of hookers 17/8 longtubes and ory... has any body made the switch to 17/8 and seen any power gains with stock displacement? also how is fitment/install? ive heard horror stories on the kooks and ive owned pacesetters and hated how they would always bang against the floor...thanks for your input

you probably won't see any difference, especially on stock cubes unless you are fi or spraying pretty big. plus what you may gain in peak hp you will probably lose in bottom end tq. there will be different opinions so take mine as just that.

from what ive been reading it doesnt seem like a worth while investment if all you have is bolt ons. if you need the 1 7/8's then you could just sell the 1 3/4and get most your money back. especialy w/ kooks.

Well said. You will probably lose your better average power across the power band for the sake of getting an extra 1 or 2 PEAK rwhp. If you are running LG Pro Long tubes you can do a search on LGM's website where plenty of testing has been done and and it has been shown that the KOOKS pick up 1 or 2 at peak but are lacking quite a bit down low and through the midrange. (SORRY RUN ON SENTENCE)
