Default what would you say the easiest to install motor mount is?

anyone feel free to pitch in there thoughts. Ive done searches, and I keep finding nothing but horror stories of how terrible these are to install! I'll be honest i dont really have much mechanical experience with my car. Im ordering headers in the spring and i really dont wanna deal with ypipe banging and regret not doing mounts so im just gonna get it all done at once!! it's really the first thing I'll be installing myself on my car as far as the motor goes. I'll have help but even still I'm really nervous about the whole procedure.

But I just want to know brands and types people have had the best experiences with. From what I gather, solids are a little easier to install, but make the car shake like a race car, while poly's have a better feel for a DD, but are more difficult to install??

By the way my car is a DD.

go Poly... if you car is a DD there is no need for solids... as far as difficulty, do the mounts while the headers are out and that should help out quite a bit.

+1. this is what i did. Motor mounts do suck though because you have to drop the K member and it is pretty heavy and sometimes a PITA to line back up right, unless you are on a rack.

I was able to hold the motor up (I think I used a jack). Unbolted the whole mount and was able to remove it that way. then I made a solid mount to replace it.

It's easier when the motor is out of the car

(No I didn't pull it to install mounts; I had to rebuild it)

I had no problems with installing my Spohn solids. Love them by the way.

I'm getting ready to do mine and from what I can see, it looks like I have enough room to unbolt both mounts, lift the motor up, and swap them out. Is that pretty much what you did? I also have a two post lift that I'll be using so should be fairly easy.
