Default Egr! Air!

When Removed; And not tuned out, They throw codes, right? What causes them to throw codes? Is it because the computer tries to turn them on but notices that it cannot?

I suggest doing it the right way, get the codes disabled in the PCM with a tuner.

The air will not throw a code unless you pull the fuse for it out. The EGR will throw a code tho.

Ignore the code, it won't cause any trouble.

haha those are all viable solutions, the reason i don't get them tuned out is because there isn't a competent shop within 6 hours of where i live. But no one knows if my resistor idea will work?

Put it this way, I have never heard of anybody doing it and I'm sure if it worked somebody would have discovered it by now. Maybe you should have thought about this a little more before you went ripping stuff out.

This is stuff im thinking about before i start doing anything, I thought maybe somone that might know a little more than i do would be able to help. Based on your comment; you obviously don't. So unless you've got somthing constructive to say, allow me to 'put it this way' and keep your smartass remarks for yourself.

Yes, this is the route i will be taking eventually. My TA isn't my only project and is kept primarly for a Summer daily driver. This is just somthing i was curious about and that maybe somone had done this temporarily between waiting time for a tune.

I've been working on an 81 TA for quite a while now, I've got an 81 Chev shortbox 4x4 that is an on going project and i recently resqued a 79 TA and a 76 TA from an old farm yard.
