Default air bullshit junk

I forgot to rip all this **** out when I did my header install, so here it is. I was just wondering what this connector is. It hooked up to part of the air so I figured it was garbage.

The evap canister purge solenoid is the only thing I see, which connector are you talking about?

The very top piece with the 2 inlets is a connector.

So I have a plug dangling on top of my intake manifold, It went from manifold to this thing, then a line out to the top of one of the A.I.R. pieces. I just took that **** off and plugged the line from the manifold with a screw.

It's definitely not, I don't see how it has anything to do with EVAP. Theres a vacuum line from the manifold to this connector thing, then to the A.I.R. system. I think it's some sort of valve. I've been driving without it for a few days and theres absolutely no difference whats over. I expected none, it's just a useless thing, that you don't need when you !air.

So you ask what it is, then tell someone they are wrong. Smart. He's right and you're not. If you already knew what it was you wouldn't be asking now would you?

No I didn't know what it was nor do I still. I also posted this because some people were wondering about what to do with the vacuum line when removing air. What it looked like, blah blah. 01 btw.

Sorry man but that is no doubt the evap canistor for fuel purge. It even has the specific little lock tab that locks onto the intake. You air system runs over underneath your driver side headlight and uses hose that run from each manifold down to that air pump. Put your freaking purge back on!

It's nowhere near the front. That isn't the connector in that pic. Let me shoot a pic real fast.

The pics with the line and the screw in it comes straight from the manifold. Then connects to one of those ports on the connector then to the A.I.R. saucer thing.

That thingy in post #1 is the AIR vacuum solenoid and it's bracket (both are also shown in the 3rd pic in post #14).

The bigger bracket holds the AIR shutoff valve (which is the round thingy shown in the 4th pic in post #14).

I know there's a guide out there on how to remove the A.I.R. system, but people forget about the vacuum stuff, and removing the bracket, etc. I know I did.
