Default Dumped exhaust question

ok well ive had my exhaust dumped for a little while now and i love it. car is not to loud for me at all. Only thing is i plan on putting a cam in the car closer to the summer. I know the car is going to be very very loud. my friend had the same set up and it was ridiculously loud. Just want to know if theres any way for me to run it out the back and do something to make a little quieter. And also, i know people use products like dynomat for different reasons, but would it help quiet the inside of the car? Reason i ask is cuz if it does i can get that stuff really cheap even if it helps a little that would be worth it.

dynomat will quiet the interior depending on how much you install.

A couple bullet mufflers will quiet it a tiny bit. Just run them before the dump.

The only reason it seems loud is because the overlap has mixed up the idle sequence. You have more breaks in sound and it will come on a little more sudden. The car doesn't really get "louder".

...and cost you a fortune, a pain in the rear, and weigh you down some.

Whatever the science behind it, my car became much much louder after I installed my cam. So much so that I ditched the duals which were run out the back. With my 4400 stall it was just way too much noise; my CD player would skip with the slightest throttle tip-in while cruising. I swapped to SLP Dual/Dual and solved the problem....a little too well! My point is that duals out the back aren't necessarily quieter.

Making it go out the back instead of dumping under the car doesn't really make it much quieter. It's more like it directs the sound from right under the car where you hear it more so it seems quieter.

I don't know about all that. I have run out the back and it is worlds quieter than dumped.

I know, it's weird. Dumped was definitely louder inside the car....no argument there. But everyone outside my car said it was louder run out the back than dumped. And these are guys who spent a lot of time around my car while cruising or at the track and heard it numerous times both ways. Maybe it was my mufflers....or my ears are too sensitive!
