Question MTI Throttle Body Help?

Need some help,
I purchased a MTI throttle body for my 01 Z, the guy who had it before me said MTI Bored out the little hole in the middle plate. He said it was for LS1s with bigger cams. He also said it would work with my car (stock cam) ! I went to my friends house and installed it, but after the install my car was ideling crazy, when i would come out of a gear and into nuetral the rpms would hover around 2500. I was wondering if this sounded normal, or when i put a bigger cam in it will it idel back to normal????? any input is accepted. thanx

Depends on the cars (A4 vs M6), the cam size, and the idle in the PCM. You can always get a new blade. How big is the hole drilled out to?

Peace,
Craig.

Well the hole is pretty big compared to the stock one... its about the diameter of a pencil or pen. My car is a M6 by the way, and the cam i would like to go with is the MTI X1. Thanks for the help

That is a huge hole, and don't try to epoxy it or rivet gun it...just get a new blade.

Peace,
Craig.

A second opinion is always best, but you may need to call MTI to find out.

before you get crazy on the blade it might be the iac that is causing the issue what is the voltage at idle, do you know if it is a voltage issue, also did you unplug the iac at iddle and try the process all over.
