Carb setup for LS1

Carb setup for LS1 A buddy of mine just picked up a 76 280Z and has a ls1/t56 laying in his garage, he wanted to put a carb intake on the ls1 but the only thing we found was a intake on jegs that was like 900...
is there several vendors that carry this intake, its just going to be mild cam/heads... so he doesnt need a ***** out inatake..
links, price, drawbacks, install tips lol would be helpfull...and yea hes set on Carb since it has a painless wiring harness throuhg the car and doesnt feel like doing it over again( has a 305/th350 right now.)

did a quick search on here and saw the base and victor jr kit.
the base says 1500-6500 rpm range
victor jr says 3500-7000 rpm range,
so obvously he would need the base, but he also has a cam in the ls1 thats mild-to upper mild lol in which on the instrustions says to not run any other cam besides there cam and long tubes...
is there any other brand that sells carb intake for the ls1 or edlebrook it?

We use this on our chevelle conversion and it worked pretty nice.... You ca purchase a gm intake also and use the programable msd controller to run it.

Right now msd is the only one making a controller that I know of.... You can use any of the carb intakes but will need the controller or a front mount distributor conversion.
My suggestion is to get the intake and seperatley purchase the MSD box. The edelbrock/msd ignition box included with the intake only uses "chips" to select timing curves and they are all too high IMO. The MSD version of the box uses the same chips and also allows you to plug in a laptop and set it to whatever you like along with setting timing retards for nitrous and low speed rev limiters for trans brakes.
I just fired up my Datsun project with the victor jr and MSD box and it all works like a champ. Ditched the holley for a edelbrock yesterday and runs much better.

Gm performance parts has an intake. Probably the one jegs sells. Scoggin dickey has it for 360 and I just got mine last week. As far as the msd box. The msd6010 has alot more capability than the elderbrock box that is also made by msd.

Verdad Gallardo Im digging that carb'd F-body! You dont see that everyday. Here are pics of my junk. Like I said, just got it running but the powerglide is still on the workbench waiting on a planetary and other than that just needs a driveshaft to be running. Will probably get started on the turbo setup this next winter, in the maen time Ill just tune the chassis in and get used to it.

So from a daily driver stand point, in so much as driveability/reliability/gas mileage and power, which would be better the stock intake or a carb'd setup? Also is there anyone that makes a kit with all needed parts?
Someone said something about a 98 ls1 harness being different then any other year. Will the 6010 work on a 98 engine? Sorry bout jacking the thread, but this info should be helpful to other people as well.
