Victor Jr. timing controller?

Hey i was just wondering if I have to use the timing controller that Edelbrock offers with the victor jr. or if I can use the MSD 6010 instead, or if i have to run them both. Thanks in advance.

If you still have the factory wiring harness in the car then you should be able to use the 6010. Call MSD to be sure though

oh well im doing an ls1 swap into my '79 silverado so there are no wiring harnesses.

I'm running the Edelbrock box on my car and haven't had any problems with it.

edelbrock box doesnt use any software, plug and play with their 6 chips that all have 36* timing at wot(too much for most lsx engines)

How does the 6010 work with efi?

The 6010 has an extra connector for the step retard and step control but other than that it is the same harness.

Yes it can be used with stock EFI setup but you need the adapter harness, part # 8886

Thanks, but would it work without the gm engine harness?
