Default Engine wont crank after driving in the rain.

Well it rained the other day, and after driving i shut it off and then it would not crank. It does the same thing that it would do if the vats was malfunctioning. I know its not the vats since i had it deleted. The car started the next morning, i'm guessing since everything had dried. I had this happen a few weeks ago too when i was the engine compartment. I know now that something in the starter system is getting wet and shorting out, i just dont know what. It does start if i push start it. Anyone got any ideas.

well if it works with the push start, then runs fine, it's gotta be something with the starter or starting system

Check the ground running from your battery to the shock tower.. Actually remover the ground sand it with some type of steel wool or a scotch brite pad. Then reinstall groung and do the same for the ground strap on the drivers side shock tower/frame rail right beside the brake lines..

If that doesn't help then I would have to say that some of your cennection grommets are starting to dry out and allow water through. Then thats why its doing what it is..

Check to make sure none of your starter wires got burned by a header primary, seen it happen a lot.

does it happen after you have driven it in the rain or if its siting in the rain? if it doesnt do it when it just sits in a rain storm then I would get it up on ramps and check out underneath it for exposed wires for water to get shot up under it.
