Default Pacesetter question

I'm thinking of getting the pacesetter headers with the emissions provisions. Anybody have any info on those and are they a quality header for the price?

Pacesetters are know to be the one of the best bang for the buck headers. I get that from the many reviews here in ls1tech. I got mine installed last weekend. And i love the clearance and slip in fit these headers have

The ceramic coating chips to hell if you get any water on them or salt and they tend to rattle from my experience and shops have told me they rattle alot and they DO.

Do the ones that have the emissions stuff added for the EGR and the AIR pump work as well? I don't really want to hassle too much with those right now.

The biggest bang for the buck are Ebay and Flowtech headers which are both cheaper then the Pacesetter's and produce the same gains.

I have an awful rattle but it seems to be due to the combination of Pacesetter and the Pacesetter Y-pipe but my drivers collector appears to be a bit more angled up than they should have been. The Y rattled alot during driving before but after I had cats welded into it the thing rattles everywhere I go.

I have rattles, but thats from everything else coming apart lol. Could not be happier with my pacesetters, great setup for the price.

Despite the rattle and all I enjoy them and they give a very nice power gain.

motor mounts will solve it. and all headers have tendency to rattle cuz of the y pipe. mounts will fix it. as far as ebay headers and flowtech they are lesser quality, hence y pacesetter retains bang for the buck cuz they have great quality for the price, if they were stainless the price would probably be up in the 600 + dollar range.

I just installed them a couple of weeks ago, and the install was easy, sounds great, and feels good. The only thing I didn't know was that you should install a poly motor mount in the driverside to prevent the y-pipe from hitting the floor board during acceleration.
I've had 3 vehicles with ceramic coated headers as Daily drivers in Michigan and have had vary little rust, with about 30k miles a year per vehicle. Everyone told me to get them, and once I got them everyone was telling the next guy to get stainless steel headers. Theres no doubt that S/S is a better route, especially if you plan on having the vehicle for awhile.

Pretty much anyone who has rattles and problems with their Y pipe hitting the floor is due to them not doing motor mounts at the same time as their header install. They 100% ARE the best bang for the buck headers out there. They provide good gains, fit very well, have good ground clearance, and the coated ones can be had for $380. Somewhere down the line I'll replace mine with Kooks or AR headers, but the Pacesetters are doing great for the time being.

I had pacesetter LT's on my last car, and for the price they are great headers. If I were to buy headers today though, I would be going with the LPP once they are available. They will be very nice stainless steel headers for around the same price as pacesetters, and they're a sponsor on here.
