X2 on that, i cut mine right befor the muffler when i first got it..... actually didnt even own it yet. buddy gave me a flowmaster with tips on it off his TA, i cut the muff. startedt the car just to see what it sounded like...... then chucked the flowmaster in the back of his car and said what the f*ck i wanna weld that weight back on my car for, its sounds great....... i had so many people ask me what kind of exhaust i had, and wanted the same, i started making up stories of what it was because i got tired of explaining that i just hacked the muff off. the only time it popped was when DFCO kicked out. and you get that with any aftermarket exhaust i have heard. i had about ten cars have me cut theres just like mine and nowone ever said it sounded bad. its the best sounding free exhaust ever. but what do i know thats just straight redneck. yeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!

oh and its not too loud inside the car either if you cut it behind the axle right befor the muffler. cut it at an angle so it exits to the back of the car and dont look back. this was a DD and the wife and baby didnt even complain. and she bitched about everything.lol unless you want pretty tips then till you get headers there is no reason to ever spend money on a cat back.

i couldnt find a good stock muffler shot, this is the best i could do with what i have on my laptop, cut it with the bottem of the blade alittle to the front of the car, top alittle to the back, and at about a 45 starting from right to left. its not that important it will sound the same only this will help direct the sound down and back instead of straight to the left rear tire, make it sound off better on both sides of the car rather than all pointing to the left side. there is a hanger just to the right of the cut where it comes over the axle, if the clamp is in good shape where the mid pipe connects to the y pipe then it shouldnt rattle or move around much. you may need to adjust the hanger in the back to hold it nice and tight. but you will see that and is self explainatory. ****, the file is always too big. oh well you get the point, cut it between the hanger after the axle and the muffler at an angle.

im pretty sure i didnt jack mine up..... since i did mine in an appartment building parking lot with a sawsall....... i cut it with anticipation of driving it to the exhaust shop to have the muffler welded. most of the others we took to the craft shop where they have lifts, pits, and whatever. if you want more room to work jack it up from infront of the rear wheels by where the LCA mounts. that way nothing is in the way in the back of the axle.

fort myers i have somethin similar to your buddies now..... i have a custom 3in Y off my long tubes into a 4in mid pipe. that is Y into dual 2.5 by the axle and center exit custom oval tips. my neighbor stopped me one day while i was pulling out at the end of the street.... i thought i was in for a good cusing for making so much noise all the time. but he was like what is done to that car, i know its right because thats the best sounding damn car i have ever heard.(i sniker) no serious thats the best sounding car i have ever heard.(i thank him and pull out)
