TA x-pipe true dual over both sides of axle exist?
I want to have some custom exhaust work done. I want to have my LT's, then x-pipe, then back out to separate pipes that both go over each side of the rear axle. I want full 3" exhaust in doing so. I bought an UMI upper panhard bar relocation kit with bar to allow 3" over the passenger side. I am wondering if 3" will fit over the drivers side as well. What kind of mufflers would you suggest to use and where to locate them along the pipes? I have seen mufflers right before the exhaust tips. I was thinking more along the lines of after the x-pipe and before the rear axle if they would fit.
Does anyone have exhaust like this over the axle? I don't want to go under the axle, I am already using BMR 1" drop springs, and I don't want to rub and hit exhaust anymore than I already do over some speed bumps with my TSP TD's.

i have something similar to what you are looking for.
But it goes over one side of the axle only and the exhaust tips come out in a low key way.
I bought the car with it but I have yet to see anyone emulate it exactly.

Why didn't you just take them straight out the back after the axle instead of crossing them?
I would want one like your setup but just one muffler/bullet on each side before the rear ale after the X or after the axle before the tip and maybe a cat before the X on each one too (not sure about cats, maybe just mufflers)
How much did this run you?
I bet it's pretty loud huh?
Did you have to buy a upper panhard bar relocation kit or anything to make it fit?
How's ground clearance and hitting speed bumps ect...

Well I know there is a upper panhard bar relocation kit that allows 3" to run over the passenger side so I am wondering if you can do the same to the drivers with that kit or not. I will have to install it and find out I guess.

Thank you, I'll tell the people at TSP and my buddy James you said so, as it is a Frankenstein of a kit. Started as TSP duals and James modified it from there.
Cause James said it would sound better, from what I gather he was right. At least from what people have said.
We / James wanted a challenge, there's another kit out there on this site very similar to mine only shinier that criscrosses like that in the back, I wanted to mock that. Originally I was gonna JUST do the mufflers in the back like that, but James talked me into leaving the original dynomax 18"'s to clean up the sound even more. They're straight through so why not. They also earned me 2 free dynopulls at a carshow, yess!!
I like the environment and don't like tickets for no cats, so I put em in.
Also, I was fighting a noisy exhaust ticket at the time so I figured more parts for the convincing were better.
Hmmm, lets see....
TSP kit $420, Cats on sale $140, pipe.....err....I can't remember, somewhere around a G, maybe more.
Actually no, its quiet as hell, almost stock quiet, much improved over dumps.
It's like driving a car again Vs. a dumped noise machine.
Not yet, the welder worked around it.
Haven't scraped yet, clearance is pretty much the same as it was when it was dumped, lowest point is at the X junction and the flanges where it reduces. I'm also stock ride height so that helps.

I'd prob nuke the rear mufflers and go straight out if I had to do it over again, out the back takes most of the sound away, and it would be less metal/work/$$, although I don't really care how it sounds.
If I had to choose again, I woulda had my welder fab it from start to finish like you say, I think the price would prob come out the same tho if you think $420 for the first section of pipe with the X pipe and the rest. Mufflers are like $20 for bullets.
My first guess is he would laugh and say its impossible, but if you want more pix...

Thanks for the pictures, I will use them to show him and discuss ways of going about it and seeing if it would work for me being that I have a BMR 1" drop spring kit installed. I like the looks and design, I would probably just take them right out the back instead of the last cross over. Not sure where to put the mufflers or what brand or style and same with cats but all that will be figured out. Probably will save me some money not doing the rear cross over. I want it to sound quieter than my true duals when I put a cam in, I can only imagine what the true duals would sound like with a .600+ lift cam lol and 112 or 114 lsa.

I dont have the relocation kit. It worked great. Its a pain to work around when working on the car. I had it 3 bolt flanged so the exahust is 3 pieces. the only thing that I have problems with is the i think its the tcs?? cables on the drivers side of the differential. It hits the exhaust since im lowered. other then that I have no problems. My kit is an eibach pro kit which lowers me alittle more then an inch.
