Default Flowmaster Merge

Who has one on their Y? I just got one for my ORY, and have a Dynomax Bullet and cut-out to install with it. Should I use the Bullet to help reduce the rasp I currently have or will the Merge take care of this. The rest of the exhaust is a Magnaflow Cat-back. Either way, they Merge and cut-out are going in, just not sure if I need the Bullet. I know it will help clean up the sound with the cut-out open, but will it make the rest of the exhaust too quiet? Thoughts.....

Check out this link for the finished pics...

I run one, they just flow better than other merges. You wont need the bullet if your running a catback.

I added a powerpack to my I-pipe because I still had rasp with a Flowmaster merge in my Y. It helps, but is not the total solution.

Default Merge Installed!

Man what a difference in sound! I had the merge installed yesterday, 3" in, 4" out. The exhaust shop had to hack the TSP ORY, but did a very clean job on the bends and welds. After the merge, had the cut-out installed, then out to the Maganflow exhaust.
With the cut-out open, it was freakin loud and nasty, not too fond of it though. But with it closed and runnin straight out back, the Maganflow rocked! The merge completely eliminated the rasp that was there between 2-4k RPM, and with the cleaner sound also came a more deeper throaty sound at WOT. I defintly recommend this addition to any Y-exhaust set-up.
Merge was $50, parts and labor for install just over $100, IMO well worth it.

This guy loves to work on LSX cars and took his time and made sure it was very clean. Any exhaust work needed in Central Florida, hit up Jamie at Mr. Muffler in Sanford. Great guy, takes his time, nice clean work and won't do you wrong.

I will post some pics tonight when I get home of the work.

I'm getting mine installed on Sunday into my pacesetter ORY. 3.5" out into 3" reducer to a 3" e-cutout into the stock exhaust. Will post sound clips, before and after.

You wanna talk rasp... I have Jethot LT's, Mufflex ORY, and a Borla CB...... LOL

The merge is a nice piece, though. I cant believe more companies dont use one.
