Default Exhaust system inquiry

Hey, i posted on a different forum with no response. I want to get the maximum performance (like everyone) but keep it as quiet as possible except for healthy growl.
Do I want Hooker l/p with max flo cats ? Do I want to leave the cats off, can i because we still don't have emissions test here. do I want true duels and what pipes.
Your suggestions will be really apprediated.

Thanks,
Max

Well if you are not worried about emmisions I would suggest Long tubes with ORY and either SLP Dual/Dual or Magnaflow catback, depending on what style tips you like. This seems to be popular among the stealth crowd. Dead quiet (by my standards) until they bust your *** then its too late.

if you get lt's make sure you get a decent y pipe to help with the rasp. The Hooker Catback is pretty decent for the price and will keep the exhaust somewhat quiet. The dual dual may be the quietest muffler but does have good performance.

http://www.lmperformance.com/2761/1.html

site seems pricey but it migh tgive you a $$ range.

If you do not run cats, it will be harder to be stealthy.

I have posted in a couple places and on here too, I have Jet Hot longtubes (same as Hooker) with the y-pipe and SLP duel duel, and the car sounds way to raspy/tinny during normal driving and way fulgy during part throttle. I was going to put on cats to quiet down the fugly and eliminate the rasy sound, but having no luck with clearances. You might what to rethink your selection if you need to be smog approved, like I do. Thinking about changing. I have less than 400 miles on the system.
