I heard that sometimes the oil is not lined up right from the factory. There were a few that had this problem with FLP headers and they lined the oil pan up themselves and never had a problem again. That might be your case as well.

All the problems in the world are worth the power gains of the dynatech's. Mine have a slight leek that won't seel for anything but they are worth every penny when it comes to performance .

Don't use a hammer on the headers! Just use a grinder on the head of the drain plug. Take off a couple .000's and it will come out.

I'm not sure just how close it is buy maybe you can take it to an exhaust shop and have them super heat the primary so you can put a smooth dimple in it?

hmm i posted that i wasnt happy with a sponsors product in the fi section and it got deleted.. weird.

anyways you can grind some of the head off and even some of the threads to make the bolt shorter/easier to get out. i did this on extremez28's flp's, but of course i read up on them ahead of time and knew to do it in advance

Well, my comment was in more of a joking matter...

The headers are sweet, I could definitely see moving the primaries about 3/4 of an inch to facilitate the removal of the plug, but its not a big deal.

Oh, and I dont have a grinder

David, that's not the policy here. Directors only delete posts that are considered bashing or flames and provide no technical content. Or of course provide advertising for a company that is not a sponsor.

Do a search.. You'll find many posts on this board where people have issues with a sponsor and 99% of the time they are fixed.

Okay well, I just left the oil drain plug loose overnight, and let it drip.

This morning when I checked, it was still dripping, but just barely, soo I just added my 5 1/2 qts. and it seems good to go.

Now for the test drive

if you grind the threads I'm assumming you completly grind off the magnet?
How much did you grind off the bolt head?
Mite be a good idea to replace drain plug with a shorter bolt and have a magnet. what would be a good size in lenght?

Thanks I'm planning a set of dynotechs LTs soon

Another reason to go with QTP's. Use a short drain plug or cut the stock plug.

IMO if you can't get the oil drain plug off b/c the header is in the way the headers are POORLY designed....I could care less how much HP they make or how nice they are otherwise....that is ridiculous.

Funny how all the problems FLPs had are starting to show up in the Dynatechs...
All that money and you get that kind of fit.
And to think, an LT that costs 1/3 the price gives the same gains.
What was it that PT Barnum said?
