long tube bolt on?
long tube bolt on? how long will it take to bolt on a set of long tubes my self i have all the tools to do it. i just have never try on a ls1 camaro im use to old schools. can anyone help me out maybe someone has some pics or there oppion
took me exactly 4 hours to remove the complete stock exhaust and air/egr from a 2000 a4 camaro and install pacesetter long tubes. i had a couple buddies helping, but there was definately more bsing going on than work.
my only advice: change plugs when doing the headers, find some corvette o2 wires, or buy the extensions, AND GET THE BUMPER OF THE CAR ABOVE YOUR KNEE ON JACKSTANDS. i've done a lot of pacesetter installs and every one of them required the headers to go in almost vertically, get the car as high as you safely can.

If it's your first time, I'd give it a good long day, maybe a little more honestly. Save yourself a headache later and do poly motor mounts while you have the manifolds off.
Header install is a piece of cake . Just wear gloves , take your time , and dont break any bolts . Shoulf not take much time at all . Might want to do poly mounts while you are at it as some header installs you may have to lift the engine up a bit and to do this you will have to remove the bolts that are in the oem mounts .

same here it was so much easyer than i thought. i did it all by myself in four hrs. the only help was putting them into place, and i just cut the tab...took 5 min. also i took the coils all the way off, more room.
