Default TB Bypass mod writeup with PICS!

So as I'm waiting on my FAST 92/92 I decided to go ahead and get the TB bypass mod out of the way. I took a few pictures of the quick install. What I used for this mod: 1. 2 ft of 5/16" inside diameter rubber hose
2. 2 Hose clamps with a 5/8"-1/4" clamping range
3. Pliers
4. Screwdriver or socket set.
First here is a dirty picture of the car, and don't mind how filthy my engine bay is, I know I need to clean it.

Here is a pic of the bay..

Here is the hose on the right side of the throttle body..

Here is the left side of the throttle body..

And here..

OK! here is the hose I used

And the Clamps, check out the toe

I cut the hose a tad long, Always cut it a little long! Especially if you don't have an extra length lying around.

Here is a picture of the left side with the new hose installed

And the right side.

And the finished product!

Hope this helps a little bit for anyone new.

nice pics/writeup. you dont need to get any kind of high temp rated hose? i thought regular fuel line hose would melt? at least that's what i heard when i was doing my catch can a while back.

I used the two rubber hoses that were on the car and just added a metal tube to connect them.

No it's just coolant..that hose is fine..same as I used.

A lot of people still do it that way, but in my opinion this is the best way... less places to leak and a lot cleaner looking.

No. Some people cut the tubes off the throttle body..or leave them alone.

it doesnt hurt to put vacuum caps over the TB tubes incase you want to reverse the mod so dirt doesn't get inside.

This is one of the cleanest ways I have seen to bypass the throttle body. Simple mod with a clean simple set of instructions. Thanks for the effort.

I bought little black rubber caps at Radio Shack for like 2 bucks. They keep the dirt from getting into the TB and look fine....

one to the radiator and the other to the metal tube on the passenger side where you removed the original line. easiest install ever.

I would have put some caps on, but I'm pulling it of "any" day now for the 92.

Thank you for the pics but this is what you would call old news. People have been doing that for about 10 years now.

Less hot coolant flowing around the throttle body = cooler air = mo' powah!

But I didn't notice a difference.
