Default HotwhipT/A's wild exhaust setup. Pics and a video.

I'm pretty excited with my new motor and all. I haven't driven my car in over a year. Anyways, I wanted to share with ya my crazy exhaust setup. I came up with this and built it myself.

This is my 2nd very own exhaust. I've never seen anything like it. Pretty wild IMO.

AR 1 7/8" headers, 2 power packs, 2 Race Ready Performance cutouts, and 2 Flowmaster 40 series race mufflers. Its a 2 in 1 system. Turns out that its not much louder with the cutouts open. The flowmasters are really deep and make it loud. I really like these cutouts btw. Pricy, but high quality, lifetime warranty, and very fast.

Its a 2 in 1 system. Turns out that its not much louder with the cutouts open. The flowmasters are really deep and make it loud. Deffinately an expensive exhaust for me. I was hoping the "full" exhaust would be quieter than it is. I can always change it, but damn....again?

Here's the video:

I'm a little confused as to why you have a brand new set of QTP's in the first picture

Looks like a pretty nice setup. Do you have a shot of the ground clearance? I'd like to see how the 40 series race mufflers fit and where you put them.

I sold the QTP's and got some AR headers. Wanted the 1 7/8" primaries among other things. As far as ground clearance, I don't have any pics yet. I've got probably 4 inches at the lowest point. One of those points is the driver side collector. It really tucks. Look at the pics and also the vid closely and you can see where the mufflers are.

That midsection must be a good bit heavier. Have you weighed it compared to stocks. Maybe throw an extra hanger. Damn I am all over that H setup, I would be thinking about some quiet *** like stock muffers, make it well worth all that money. Then you got best of both worlds.

I say go with some quiet muffler so you can have the best of both worlds, as said above. That is what i did, maybe this can give you an idea.

Wow, thats some nice work to put that all together.
Dual cutouts will be helluva lot of fun at stoplights.

It took a full 2 days from start to finish. I don't want to do it again. I'm not going to mock another up on my car. My setup cost 2G's, maybe more. I did all the labor so thats just in parts.

As for the quieter mufflers, thats what I had wanted. I had the 10 series race mufflers and they were quieter than these 40 series IMO. The 40 series are suppose to be quieter, but deffinately not enough. I was concerned about the room i've got to work with. I've got the piping to redo the back half. I know what i'll have to do, but damn I don't wanna have to build it again! I need a quieter chambered muffler that sounds good. Any opinions?

Oh yea, I don't have any pics of it on the car yet. When i've got it up in the air this weekend, i'll take some pics.
