The current state of the art in plug wires is the spirl wound copper conducter. This offers low resistance AND good RF suppression, a must with any computer or data acquisition application. These wire are used in all forms of racing, NASCAR,TRANSAM,TOP FUEL & on & on. Don't worry about jacket diameter, that's mostly marketing flash. This wire type is offered by MSD, Delphi and a few others. I like the MSD double crimp terminal as it lowers resistance and ellimanates the chance of core breakage when you bend the conductor over for crimping.

Theres too many differences in opinion. I like the info you provided HaveBlue, as it seems you go the extra distance when offering help. I happen to favor the stock wires, and TR6 plugs. Stock wires provide the same low resistance as aftermarket, and the TR6 plugs help battle summer heat, even in NA applications. I also like the Iridiums, nice plugs. For NA, put them in and forget about them..they last!

I pur in Taylor's '409' Pro Race wires. I might be crazy, what am I saying might, but I think I felt a difference... Maybe one of them was bad or something...

GM

Currently using MSD's, with no complains. Gonna try the GM performance red plugs wires soon.

Taylor also here. You might want to consider wire boots(heat socks) also, the stock ones wont work with the new wires, and they only cost about $20

I went with MSD Superconductor wires. We hooked them and the stock wires up to a resistance guage. 2.4 K ohms for stock and 36 ohms for the MSD. A factor of nearly 1000.

SSCamaro99 3, you obviously needed some wires. I have a habit of checking the ohms of wires, as my own comapro and the only ones I see over 45-50ohms are bad ones, even twist them around to check for inconsistencies. Dayum 2.4k ouch, bet that ran like a ford!
