My vote is for opening the breathing on the motor first. LS6 intake and Longtubes. The problem is that you'll need a tune to see the full potential of the Longtubes. And I don't mean a handheld. That is my vote, then after that, cam and a stall and you can have one quick frickin car if you go that route. Nitrous is nice but personally am not doing it until I get a motor built for it and have seen it cripple a couple motors. The bottle is the cheapest way, but vibrates the hell out of your internals no matter what you do.

want around 25 rwhp over stock...track proven for about 50 dollars...

also with my cutout in a stock exhaust gained me 2mph or 20rwhp when i was still stock internal without the cam...

that is around 45rwhp for under $100...now that is cheap mods that work

ps i am still rocking the stock z28 exhaust

Those results are on a z28. The intake setup is better on the SS and WS6 is it not?

nope not better at all maybe 2-3 hp ...ever seen how the air is ducked in a ss hood plus in the summer months how hot do you think a hood gets...dont want air coming into my engine getting heated up...plus neither is sealed off so it is just ambient air never reachs positive pressure...

not any different

but the exhaust muffler on a ss will be better flowing than my z28...

the WS6, but not the SS, come with a larger lower air box. i don't know if it really helps but the WS6 hood is the only one that will safely clear from the factory.

Interesting, there was a study/testing done and the SS hood actualy worked. Was a while ago, it would take a lot of searching but it actualy is functional and scoopes cold air that hangs lower on the road and lets face it the air isn't in there long enough to get heated up. There is a semi seal with the lid as well. You can feel the engine sucking air through the hood at idle, quit a bit actualy.

I'm sure the homemade version works great, by the results posted it looks like it works awesome. I'd like to see a comparison with the WS6 and SS.

And by this I am not saying an SS is faster so dont read anything into it..LOL

I would get Pacestter LTs with the ORY. Trust me headers really woke up my goat and they will wake up your WS6.

since a lot of the guys are suggesting nitros, have you ever used it before. are you mechanically inclined to do the install yourself. sure it may be one of the better ways of getting more ponies from your engine, but then again it is only for straights and is only temporary. unless our going to be carrying spare bottls around with you, but that ads to the cost. then of course unless your hitting the button constntly the power increase isnt always there. this aint the movies. my vote goes to exhaust upgrades and such. or just save a lot of cash do it right, build an engine than add a turbo or a supercharer along with nitros. than aftr that you can have a rear built cause it wont last. i am assuming this is in your daily driver and your not trying to build a race car.

get a good 150hp wet shot. harris speed works makes good kits. nitrous is the best bang for the buck if you are looking for a lot of hp for cheap
