Default Need Help Fast

okay so i parked my car yesterday after a normal drive around town.

i get in there today to take it for a spin and it will honk when i turn the key whether or not i hold the cruise button in or not. its as if there is something wrong with the release or the alarm system.

i already tried a different keys, and disconnected the battery also.

Ummmm.... help?

no, you have to hold in the cruise button in order to start the car, they are all like that. now when i hold it in. it does the same thing as if i wasnt holding it in.

yea... good luck with that... thats not a stock feature
I have seen people do similar things, but GM wouldnt- follow the wiring where they spliced into your ignition- pull out the splice and wire it back directly-

Dont know man- be interested to see the results- GM would not do it, possibly a weird dealer mod- if they came from the same place- odds are its wired into the orange Vats wire coming from the ignition- Trace it, you will probably find a splice- Bypass it-
try this in the stereo/electronics- probably a better response in there

Sorry man- Cant answer that- my bet- small town with the same alarm installer
Its not an uncommon thing to do, I have seen cars done where you had to hit the window roll up...
Check the ignition harness- whether its "factory" or not thats where it would be spliced-

There you go- Orange Vats wire... I gotta dollar that says if you jump around the splice it will start, your Cruise switch probably is toast... they arent ment to be pushed that often...

last night i looked in the fuse box and saw some wires going in the plugs with the fuses. if i take out those wires and plug the fuses back in without the wires it will start when i turn the key like normal then huh?
