Whats the difference between fast 90/92

Default Whats the difference between fast 90/92
This may be a common sense question but what is the difference between the fast 90 intake and the fast 92....common sense would tell me the inlet is 2mm wider allowing more airflow.....anyhow i figured id ask before i purchased.

Also will the intake and throttle bottle bolt right up or will i need any adapters?
A buddy of mine told me the fast setup would be overkill for my 224 cam, what do you guys think?

It wouldnt be overkill. An engine likes to breathe. Especialy with a h/c combo youll want to put more air in and get more air out. The 92 is just a ported 90.

if you were cam only, or on exh manifolds i would say it would be overkill, but where your running LT's, heads/cam i think it will work well with your setup.

Writeup in GM High Tech performance July 08 says 92mm flow a whopping 2% better than the 90.

Their test car (2001 Z28) put down 390/369 with the LS6 intake and TB.
After 411/382

For a gain of 21/13 over the stock TB and LS6 intake.

A ported 92 vs ported 90 isn,t that much difference. But they have adressed the problem areas of the old fast 90. That is the major difference.

Reinforced the TB flange (was known to crack)
replaced all screws with stainless (old bolts rusted if you so much as sneezed on them)
