Default those of you with meziere EWP's input please

hey guys how many of you dont run a bottom thermostat but have a lil tiny one on top. how many of you run yours like this? because i got to the autoparts store and im talking greek to them and aint trying to order a thermostat and get here next week. thanks

The stock thermostat is gone, and all I have in the upper neck is the required SB Chevy thermostat. Napa is where I got mine...

^^^ Yep, standard sbc therm, but you need to drill a hole in it IIRC

we run the race pump on our shop car without a stat and it holds steady at 160

Like has been said, SBC fits the Meziere. But don't get the Mr Gasket brand cuz it won't fit.

Mine has been reliable but money might be better spent elsewhere IMO. It sure is a nice looking item.

My Race Meziere holds at 160 also and works flawlessly.

A SBC 160* T-stat out a 68-69 camaro fits perfectly.

I have the street version and has been very reliable for over a year now ,with a SB chevy 160*stat.

then it looks like it should be fine then. it has a really smaill one in the top neck that says ls1 and in the bottom its empty. so im good right?? thanks

cool its all ready to go then. mine still goes to 210 though. i guess ill take it out and see if its drilled or not.

Yes, you need to take it out and check.. But also, the SBD t-stat came in 2 versions. A 160* and either a 180 or 190* stat.

Look on yours and make sure its a 160*. I would even throw it in a pot of hot water to verify its opening at 160*, as well as opening 100%

I used a Stant 160 degree sbc tstat, no holes drilled, car runs at 159degrees. Just make sure the coolant system has air bubbles out of it.
