Default SLP 1.85 Rockers...

ok.. The LS2 guys couldnt answer it.. How 'bout you guys?

Here is my setup:

Stock LS2 short block
Stage II LS6 heads
224\220 581\581 116 Stealth Cam

I have the stock 1.7 rockers on..

The question: Can I install the SLP 1.85 rockers?

((.581/1.7)*1.85 = .632 lift..

and install Patriot Dual springs that support .650 lift..

Doable?

OR will the valve hit the piston...and is the extra lift worth anything

most aftermarket cams advise against higher ratio rockers due to fast ramp rates.

so my guess is NO...even if it did clear the pistons

"Maybe drop to a Comp 1.75 rocker"

or save the money from the rockers and spring upgrade and put it towards something that will actually make more power.

perhaps a FAST intake

Well, I run the Comp Pro Mag 1.75" rocker with a Crane 250/266-.632/.632-112 witch raised the lift to .651/.651 and been running it for two years now with no problems what so ever and shift at 7300 rpms.

Yes, but you have pistons.. And I'm sure they are fly cut..

I'm just afraid the valve will hit the piston..

you're still talking .598" lift with the cam you listed if you went with the 1.75s

with the duration of that cam, you're likely fine

but its worth checking
