Default New dyno #'s after Fast92 install!!

There has been alot of posts on here regarding gains of fast 92 intakes on stock internal ls1's. Most people feel that it is too much intake. Well, they are mistaken! It made some serious gains over the factory ls1 intake. The car is a 2000 camaro ss with a m6. The first dyno pulls were with kooks long tubes, catted y, borla catback, slp lid, and a tune and the car made 326 hp & 334 tq. then we installed the fast 92 combo and re tuned it . the car made 345 hp & 355 tq !! The gains were 19 hp & 21 tq. The average was 19 hp & 17 tq !!!! It increased power evenly across the entire rpm range. The throttle response is also incredible. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS TOO MUCH INTAKE! I will try to post the dyno sheets soon.

I'm impressed. Any way you could post up 2 of the graphs. The rumor is that those intakes kill low end torque on the small motors. So, what were the gains at like 3500-4200 on the torque side.

just curious, do you have to get a bigger MAF sensor when you install this intake and throttle body?

No need for a bigger MAF. I have the ported 92/92 combo and love it. Took nothing away from my low end, but from about 3500 RPM and up, it gained a good amount of torque and HP. Low end gained a bit actually, but nothing like the top end gained. Didn't lose anything down low for those interested.

Wow, I didn't think gains like that would be possible without a cam.

right around if not slightly more then a ls6 intake.

as stated above once you are cammed, and with heads, you will notice that intake really help out!

^^^Agreed, but for me, my tuner thought my LS6 intake was really holding me back for some reason. Maybe just old and dirty, but the ported 92/92 combo really woke up my set-up. Just my experience.

There is definitely such a thing as too much intake.

The argument was never whether or not a FAST 92/92 would make more than an LS1 intake. Of course it will. No one has ever said that. Then question is, will it make more than an LS6 intake? The consensus is on a stock internals LS1, with an LS6 intake, you will make roughly the same gains for 1/3 of the price. You'd probably pick up low end with an LS6 intake. Why spend $1200 when you could spend $450 for the same gains if not more torque? That's the argument. The argument has never been LS1 intake vs. FAST.

Great info. You would not have picked up near that with an LS6 Ported TB combo.

There are stock internal cars making over 500rwhp. Now way the LS6 will come close to a ported FAST on a heads/cam car with all the bolt-ons.

Ahhhh, I would love to see a stock internal 346ci making 500rwhp.. If that's the case, I need to sell my heads and cam and go back to stock internals..

Maybe you need to check out the dyno results forum? What the heck would selling your heads and cam have to do with stock internals?

It is impossible for a stock internals car to make 500rwhp. A stock internals car has never even come close to making 400 rwhp. Stock internals cars top out usually around 360rwhp for an M6, 340rwhp for an A4. Not even close.

We're not speaking about H/C cars, either. We're talking about 350rwhp cars.

Don't you know? Larger cams are bad for power. I'm thinking about going with a TR195 cam. I should make 700rwhp NA
