naw I got my fronts and stuff rears is what he is trying to get me to buy yeah I guess the tune is the best thing just got my stimulus check he said bring it in on tuesday

there is no point of having rear o2's without cats....it's just a waste of money. also, you mentioned you plan on doing a h/c setup in the future. if that's the case then wait until that's done for the tune. and finally, 40 rwhp from just a tune is not gonna happen, 40 hp from lt's/ory and a tune can, maybe that was what he meant?

Where are you located?

If your willing to drive to Newark, id say go to Synergy. Rick charges 500.00 for a dyno tune i believe. Youll see your before, and after, and he is an awesome tuner.. He took my car from 334, to 351 rwhp. I have very basic mods (The 02 in my sig) and the car was totally different after the tune. It drove better and was definitly stronger.

How much HP you gain from a tune depends on the state of the tune currently. Every car is different and responds differently to mods... Using HPT to log and tune my car I found putting my lid and ported TB on the car threw the tune off more than my headers. On my Buddies SS his headers threw his tune way off. so as I said every car is different but bottom line, usually after you get all the bolt on's it would be a good idea to get a tune because you have no idea just how far off it is.

im doing headers and ory soon and waiting till after i get an ls6 intake for a tune, no need to do something twice...

A generic tune like the predator tunes, dont even compare to a true dyno tune.. Like was stated before, cars respond differently to mods, so one generic tune wont neccassarily make the best gains on all cars.
