Any dyno or track results from the new Edelbrock headers?

I think they want $400 for those headers and they are not coated. You can get Pacesetters for about $270 uncoated, and $330 I think coated. I do not see the Edlebrocks making any more power than any other headers.

Hhmmmm. Didn't know the Edlebrocks were stepped. You say the collector is adjustable? How? and does it leak? Thanks for the heads up info...

Any results yet?
Stepped and a 3.5" collector. A nitrous motor ought to love that.
Let me know your thoughts on them, now that you have had them for awhile.

Actually, I dynoed Monday and picked up 5hp over SLP's. The torque curve is much more solid but all in all, considering they're the cheapest headers next to pacesetters I don't think that's too bad.

Edlebrock carries edlebrock headers, i was looking at them in the Catalog but couldnt match the part number to the price guide.

I've been hoping to hear some results of cars running these headers. Looks like Edelbrock did a nice job engineering them. They are in fact a 1 3/4" stepped to 1 7/8" tube and have a 3 1/2" merge collector. I don't know the exact tube length but they do look to be pretty long for making nice torque.
Ramair346: Can you tell us how the headers installed? Easy or difficult? How's the ground clearance? Any leaks?
I'm an Edelbrock dealer and can get these headers for $380.00 per set. I'm told they have them in stock and ready for immediate delivery. Email me if anyone is interested.

Re: Any dyno or track results from the new Eldebrock headers?
Richard,
I've installed numerous different brands of headers and these were a joke. I literally laid under the car with it on ramps and slid the passanger header in. The drivers side required grinding one of the block tab but then it slid right in. The give you new header bolts to use, but I wouldn't use them. Otherwise, awesome headers and a great bang for the buck!
Ground clearance is WAY better than SLP, I haven't scraped once. In terms of leaks, I definately need to seal up a couple of the primary tubes where they slip on to the collector.

Ramair346: Thanks for the feedback. It sounds like these headers are for real......
You mention having leaks at the collector. Are they going to be tough to fix?
Your dyno results sound very promising. Were the gains across the rpm range or just at the peak?
Now for track times.......pretty please?

Re: Any dyno or track results from the new Eldebrock headers?
Normally you'd have no problem twisting my arm to get me at the track. But, I need to figure out if I broke a motor mount or if my exhaust has made an adjustment to itself so as it may rattle on my floor at idle. I'm also waiting on a set of wheels for my slicks, but I may just say screw it and try the F1's on 20 PSI and see what happens. I'll probably go Sunday morning and post that afternoon.
