Dual exhaust with X-pipe installed
I used two 18 inch bullets, with all 3 inch piping and turndowns before the axle. It's nothing that hasn't been done before. That sucker is loud, loud loud.
it sounds really mean with my XE-R 228/236 112 cam. I can try and post some sound files if anyone is interested. I think I am gonna have to cut those bullets out and try and fit something else in there, it's just too loud. It's a good loud, though. I wonder that bigger mufflers I can use.

Re: Dual exhaust with X-pipe installed
I made it myself with some bent pipe pieces, a chop saw and a mig welder and a couple of exhaust hangers.

I haven't decided what I'm gonna do yet, but the bullets have gotta go. I'm probably gonna go with dynomax super turbos, I'm afraid that dynomax ultraflos will be too loud still, as they are still straight through design. Ultraflos are pretty small also.

I wonder how much quieter the ultra flo mufflers will be over bullets. Is your exhaust annoying to you, With the bullets, my car is pretty annoying to drive around.

Try going over the Differential and a couple of resonators before u exit on each side.
There are even long chrome resonator tips, but I fotgot who makes them.
Not to mention you will decrease fire hazard!

Re: Dual exhaust with X-pipe installed
I used the spintechs on mine and it is very bearable, it is still louder than a catback but it can be somewhat quiet if you really try to make it quiet. Also I have gotten more compliments in the first two days with this exhaust than I had gotten for 2 yrs with my various catback systems. The only downside is the Spintechs may restrict flow some but I got them cause I wanted it to be as quiet as possible so they worked good for me.

Here is a link to some pics of mine as well. The pics suck but you can get a general look of how the spintechs look.

Re: Dual exhaust with X-pipe installed
I'll try and get some sound clips this week, I need to get a buddy to do post them for me so I gotta get him over to record the car.
I still might try dynomax super turbos, but I hear they are restrictive as well. Probably going to lose some power unless I use straight through design mufflers, but I gotta tone this thing down a bit.

Fierce,
Yes, very nice setup. Is it 3" or 2.5"? Are those resonators or bullets at the rear?

It is 2.5 mandrel bent all the way out the back with the new stainless steel bullet muffler from magnaflow. 2.5" is more than enough for an NA motor.
