Default TSP Rumbler exhaust tip suggestions

Hey all,

I'm getting ready to buy one of the TSP Rumbler catback setups (not the true duals), and I was wondering if anyone who has run this setup has used different exhaust tips than what they offer. I do not like the oval tips, and I have no idea what the ractiv tips look like, so I wanted to use something else. The system is 3", so does the inlet diameter of the tips have to be 3"? Any advice anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You can get 2.5 inch tip inlets and a muffler shop can swell them and weld them on.

PS. This system sounds amazing in a parking garage lol.

Summit and Jegs both have a ridiculous amount of tips on their sites. Hours of entertainment, check it out.

What do you mean by "swelling" the tips? Do you mean expanding the intlets to fit the system, or crimping the system's pipes to fit the tips? Reason I ask is b/c I have a muffler shop right down the street but they are a little slow in the head, the kinda guys that rode the little bus to school, and I might need to explain this to them. Thank you to everyone for the input, and I can't wait to get this system!

They expanded the tailpipes on mine. I think they couldnt do the tips because they were too thin.

Well, just bought the system and the tips. Here are the tips I went with: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku. They are 3" id, 3.5" od, 11" long Hooker chrome slant cut tips. I figured that 11" would be just the right length, not too long, not too short. I'll post up some pics when I get the exhaust all hooked up. Thanks for all the help guys!

Are you sure about that? TSP lists it as a 3" catback.

Thanks for the heads-up. Why do they do that , must be so that people can use factory tips like the CME.

also the tail pipes are a little long so your probably going to have to cut a little off them (1" or 2) to get the tips to sit right. If I put tips on them with out cutting the pipe it would stick out way too far.

Won't be a problem. I'l match the tips to where I want to see them in relation to the bumper and cut from there. Thanks for the advice though. Btw, what tips did you go with on your system?
