Thumbs up Egr/Air Removal

Removed these today without any problems. Had the blockoff plates and intake plug from GM. Used original gaskets and had no leaks. Car ran fine but got the SES light almost immediately. Now just need to have tuned out.

No, it just cleans the engine bay out for a few visual ehancements, such as custom headplate and manifold plate. Thanks

I know this sounds stupid but when i removed it and drove i noticed my turn signals did not blink as fast. i wonder if the unplugging of the air/egr electrical connections affected something electrical. Might just be me

I need to find out where they sell the intake plugs for the EGR pipe cuz I will be doing the same thing this week when I get my headers.

Got mine from the GM Dealership for about $20. Part #12558346. Gmpartsdirect.com has it for about $13 plus shipping. Plug used egr screw for mounting. Slid right in with no leaks.

Search AIR delete and there's a thread about that. The EGR is really simple, I figured it out by just looking at it. Get the block off plate for the exhuast manifold and a plug for the intake, take the crap off plug the holes.

Lucky for me I just need the plate for the manifold, cuz my LS6 intake doesn't have EGR provisions.

I checked those stickies but the pics were down on one write up and the other didn't have much at all for pics. The AIR seems easy enough to do. I guess with both AIR and EGR I'll just start with a part and remove everything attached! lol One question, where do the lines for the AIR run to? From the pump to where? When those are pulled, do you need to cap anything? I know at the intake, but where they supposedly go into the exhaust...
Thanks
