I would go HP tuners but I would also go LS6 over BBK cause it performs as good or better and I don't care about bling.

i also think i would go hp tuners. but if you can grab a used ls6 real cheap its never a bad idea. but a new bbk vs. tuning software, i would go for the software that way you have more time with it so when you put that intake on you know how to adjust for it.

No but I would.

Also to the guy who says the LS6 performs better than a BBK. Please do some research before spouting off at the mouth with information you know nothing of.

I would 100% go with the LS6 manifold over the tune or the bbk.

Hpt, then a wideband when you can. You'll be able to adjust for any mod you ever get. Plus once you learn the software, you can recoup some money doing other cars. You also can do other cars you might purchase in the future. jmo

may help may not....ive done almost every freaking mod possibble...ive had it full bolt ons, gears ,stall, cam, bigger cam,now heads, intake, the list goes on and on.....my last purchase was hptuners, took me all of a week of reading and playing with the software to learn the basics....my car drives and runs better than ever....if i had it all to do over hp tuners wouldve been the very 1st mod....by far..

I hope you didn't remove the front O2's when you did your exhaust. The rear O2's are what people typically ditch when going with an ORY/X and that trips the light. The front O2's are a MUST unless you're running an open loop tune. I doubt you are but who knows. As for your original question it definitely depends on your goals. I had HPTuners on my last car and spent many hours playing with it and tuning it on the street with my wideband. It's not a requirement to have a wideband but tuning is MUCH more accurate with one. If you don't plan to ever go any further than bolt-ons then I would not get the tuning software. You can get a mail-order tune for bolt-ons for like $200. Now if you're going to cam or H/C in the future I would go with the software.
