i just installed my jet hots and AAP Y and am runnging open headeres until i can get to a shop to get my magnaflow in. they need some welding and adjustments.

I have the penny pinching thing going on too.
The Hooker parts front to back that you posted about sound perfect. Great stuff with a great price.
Coating is overrated. Don't waste your dough if you don't have it.
I will be doing Hooker LTs (no coat), Hooker Y, and keep my $140 Dynomouth cat-back for my exhaust.
If rasp is a problem, then I will put an insert in the I-pipe, or one in each collector depending on how I feel.
There is a post about CC inserts going right now.
There are several sizes and other companies making them. There are conical inserts also. The word is that these inserts are stopping rasp caused by LTs/ORP/free flowing exhaust.

I would say go with hooker lt's with off road pipe and get like a bullet muffer-sounds awesome!!
