New Aussie 8 throttle body manifold. Have a look at this for some of you more serious HP chasers.
Manufactured in Sydney by a performance shop to suit the larger, 240 ish cammed cars.

Re: New Aussie 8 throttle body manifold. The hood isn't necessarily the problem. I'm more concerned with the part of the intake at the back that is behind the hood (underneath the windshield.)

Re: New Aussie 8 throttle body manifold. more tech info please. Best question yet, how is airflow measured? I assume ther is a cover for this? It certainly wouldn't fit under the cowl with some sort of airbox on it.

Re: New Aussie 8 throttle body manifold. Air flow is measured by speed density not mass air flow.
It still uses std computer but the volumetric tables etc are utilised to get the engine running right.

As per the last post, the pcm is run in Speed Density mode which allows the removal of the maf. Here in Aus there has been some great tuning work being carried out with the LS1 and much of it is without the MAF.
Approx 5 or so of these manifold are in use atm but mostly for drag racing applications as the protrusion thru the bonnet on our Holdens is huge.
Not sure about the flow rates etc, but Im sure on of the users will chime in with some more detailed info.

Re: New Aussie 8 throttle body manifold. Any before/after dyno tests compared to the LS6 intake? For a drag racing only f-body, you can sacrifice the wipers and cut away the cowl to fit those. Like this:

Re: New Aussie 8 throttle body manifold. Hell Tony theres got to be a way to redo some wipers on there with cowl cut. Hmm, custom body shop time. If the Imports can do electro motorized reverse flip up trunck lids and side hoods, then we should be able to reroute a simple wiper arm!
